Saudi Arabia Esports Federation partners with Mastercard

The transnational financial corporation Mastercard has announced a partnership agreement with the Saudi Arabian eSports Federation. As part of the cooperation, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding to help promote esports and gambling in the country.

In addition, the organizations will collaborate on a range of projects, including their own Metaverse and the creation of augmented reality (AR), NFT, and fan loyalty programs. Mastercard is also about to launch a gaming virtual card for esports fans.

As part of the Memorandum of Understanding, the Saudi Arabia Digital Asset Implementation Project will be launched in which Mastercard is developing another AR activation as well as its own metaverse.

It should be noted that recently the country has been actively introduced into the field of e-sports and games. The government-backed Savvy Gaming Group has already become the owner of ESL Gaming and FACEIT, the industry's largest tournament venues.
