Saudi Arabia Esports Federation partners with Mastercard
The transnational financial corporation Mastercard has announced a partnership agreement with the Saudi Arabian eSports Federation. As part of the cooperation, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding to help promote esports and gambling in the country.
In addition, the organizations will collaborate on a range of projects, including their own Metaverse and the creation of augmented reality (AR), NFT, and fan loyalty programs. Mastercard is also about to launch a gaming virtual card for esports fans.

This historic agreement will help showcase new technologies that are instrumental in making the Kingdom a leading hub for gaming and esports, and more broadly for business, tourism, recreation and innovation.Together with the Saudi Arabian eSports Federation, we hope to create special offers and events using our technology to make payments easier for gamers and create more immersive experiences and truly priceless moments for Saudis and avid gamers around the world."
As part of the Memorandum of Understanding, the Saudi Arabia Digital Asset Implementation Project will be launched in which Mastercard is developing another AR activation as well as its own metaverse.
It should be noted that recently the country has been actively introduced into the field of e-sports and games. The government-backed Savvy Gaming Group has already become the owner of ESL Gaming and FACEIT, the industry's largest tournament venues.
