Global Esports Games 2025 will be held in Dubai

The Global Esports Federation has announced the venue for the Global Esports Games 2025. The championship, which will take place in three years, will be held in Dubai. The announcement was made as part of the recent Global Esports Tour Dubai 2022, which took place at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Dubai will be the fifth host city of the Global Esports Games. In 2021, the Global Esports Federation granted this right to Singapore, Istanbul and Riyadh. Later, information appeared that China would host the event in 2024, while the Global Esports Games 2026 would be held in the United States.

Paul J. Foster, CEO of Global Esports Federation: "We are excited to see incredible progress since signing a strategic framework agreement with Emirates Esports at Expo 2020 Dubai last November to unlock opportunities and grow esports in the region. The global community will come together again in Dubai as a city confirmed to host the Global Esports Games 2025."

It should be noted that within the framework of the Global Esports Games 2021, competitions were held in the disciplines of Dota 2, eFootball PES 2021 and Street Fighter V, during which players and teams represented their regions. At the same time, the disciplines that will be presented at the upcoming championship in Istanbul have not yet been disclosed.

Most recently, the Global Esports Federation held the Global Esports Tour Dubai 2022, a CS:GO LAN tournament. The winner of the championship was the NIP team, which in the grand final was stronger than MOUZ with a score of 2:1.
