Fnatic partners with BMW to open new esports facility

British esports organization Fnatic has announced it has teamed up with German car manufacturer BMW to open the BMW x Fnatic Esports Performance Facility in Berlin. The facility reportedly includes two gaming halls, as well as a match room, a content creation studio, its own gym, a racing rig from BMW and dedicated office space.

The facility currently houses the League of Legends roster, which is preparing for the start of the League of Legends European Championship (LEC).

The BMW x Fnatic Esports Performance Facility was launched as part of the Fnatic @ Esports Performance Strategy based on eight distinct performance pillars: Healthcare, Research, Technology & Software, Gaming Performance, Processes & Operations, Youth Structure, Infrastructure & Education. The goal of the center is to constantly improve the capabilities of Fnatic players with every possible detail that can increase their performance.

Jens Hofer, Director of Performance at Fnatic: "The BMW x Fnatic Esports Performance Facility has been specifically designed to support our League of Legends players as they strive for excellence in the upcoming LEC summer season. We are so excited to finally be opening the Fnatic Esports Performance Facility with BMW and will set a new standard for esports venues in Europe. This facility is another step forward for our HPU as we plan our return to the top of the League of Legends European Championship."

Note that this is not the first time Fnatic has partnered with BMW. In April 2019, the company launched its United in Rivalry initiative with Fnatic, FunPlus Phoenix, G2 Esports and T1.

BMW becomes Fnatic's fourth partner in 2022. The company joins brands such as L'Oréal Men Expert, Kaspersky and SPORTFIVE, which partnered with the club in the first half of the year.
