Reportedly, preparations for the move began in March. On the 31st, the company transferred its entire gaming business in Russia and Belarus to Lesta Studio, another video game developer that had been working with Wargaming on World of Warships since 2011. It is clarified that the companies are no longer connected with each other.

“The company will not profit from this process either today or in the future. On the contrary, we expect significant losses as a result of this decision.

We will complete the operational move as quickly as possible while maintaining full compliance with all laws and ensuring the continued safety and support of our employees. During the transition period, live foods will remain available in Russia and Belarus and will be managed by the new owner.”

Such words seem very true, because in the CIS region the company that developed games about military equipment had great success and a huge part of its audience.

What fate awaits the "live" Wargaming products after the transition period is still unknown. We are talking about the games World of Tanks, World of Warships, World of Warplanes and their mobile Blitz versions. According to the company, they have adopted a very strict and radical policy, but it will not surprise anyone if their former partner Lesta Studio becomes a distributor or localizer of their games in two regions.
