Chiefs Esports Club renews partnership with Bond University
Australian esports organization Chiefs Esports Club has announced the renewal of a partnership agreement with the local Bond University. Both parties have signed a two-year agreement under which Bond University will continue to be the official educational partner of the esports organization.
Bond University and the Chiefs Esports Club will reportedly continue to work to train students for careers in gaming and esports.
Bond University and Chiefs Esports Club first signed a three-year partnership in 2020. Since then, the parties have collaborated on internships that have helped university students take their first steps in esports.
Nick Bobir, CEO of The Chiefs: "Bond University has been an amazing partner to work with and we are excited to continue the relationship in the coming years. Whether or not it leads our players through world-class elite sports workshops with a focus on health, nutrition and wellness or complete on-campus boot camps, the partnership will expand the organization's reach to the games and esports enthusiasts we interact with on a regular basis. We're very excited to take this further and present some of the projects we're working on in the near future."
Both organizations have also worked on a range of research on esports and traditional sports, and the university has helped Chiefs players with health and wellness.
Bond University and Chiefs Esports Club have hinted at a number of projects that will take place during this partnership. The organization will reportedly host and manage esports tournaments from the university-based Bond esports center.
