Jordan Sherman, CEO of Immortals:"As a Michigan resident and University of Michigan alumnus, I personally know the value that playing through Immortals can bring to the Great Lakes communities."

The esports organization has already announced partnerships with municipalities and local community groups across the region. The purpose of these partnerships is to expand or create new esports and gaming events such as tournaments.

According to the press release, Great Lakes-based initiatives such as gaming summits for municipalities and local corporations, as well as civic and business leaders, kick off in Michigan and Ohio this November.

Despite the move, Immortals has confirmed that its League of Legends team will remain based in Los Angeles. However, the organization will introduce a female VALORANT team based at the Immortals' Great Lakes headquarters.

Finally, Immortals announced that it intends to work closely with student groups in the region to improve its presence and strengthen regional ecosystems eSports.
