Co-owner and content creator of North American esports organization 100 Thieves has been criticized by fans for its ads. Valkyrae has posted advertisements on social media for cosmetics whose safety is in question.

In her video, Valkyrae said that she spends a lot of time at the computer. In order to protect her eyes from harmful blue radiation from the monitor, she has long used special glasses. But later, Valkyrae wondered how this light affects her skin. Therefore, in order to reduce the likelihood of melanosis and wrinkles, she needed special cosmetics.

However, this advertisement did not appeal to the fans of the organization, who attacked the co-owner with criticism in the comments. According to fans, Valkyrae is promoting a product based on research, the results of which have long been disproved in the scientific community. In addition, there is a clause on the website of the cosmetics manufacturer with a disclaimer in case the data of any research confirming the harm of radiation from monitors to the skin turns out to be false. Many fans have stated that this ad from Valkyrae is nothing more than a scam.
