Immortals Gaming Club announces restructuring
North American esports organization Immortals Gaming Club has announced leadership changes as part of a larger corporate reorganization.
Ari Sigal, CEO of Immortals, has been named co-managing director of the organization, executive chairman of Immortals and Gamers Club, and non-executive chairman of MIBR. In addition, Tomi Kovanen, the current CEO of Immortals, has been named executive vice chairman of Immortals, MIBR and Gamers Club, as well as co-managing director of IGC.
According to the release, the restructuring is being carried out to accelerate growth and operational efficiency of IGC in all its main areas. As a reminder, gaming company Immortals operates four key esports brands and business units: Immortals, MIBR, Gamers Club and LA Valiant.
Yuri Uchiyama will now serve as Executive Chairman of MIBR while remaining CEO of Gamers Club. In his most recent promotion, CEO Jordan Sherman, President and Chief Commercial Officer of IGC, took over as CEO of Immortals.
IGC also hired Roberta Coelho as CEO of MIBR. Coelho was previously CFO and Business Development Manager for the Rock Music Festival in Rio. In addition, she was the CEO of Game XP, the Brazilian gaming and esports festival.
