NFT collections from the Bored Ape series became leaders on OpenSea

After Yuga Labs, which created collections from the Bored Ape series, announced a free minting for their token holders, three sets immediately experienced a noticeable increase in price and popularity. we are talking about such collections as Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club and Bored Ape Kennel Club.

The Mutant Ape Yacht Club set took the lead and took the lead in the OpenSea market, managing to record a 13% increase in trading volume over the past 24 hours. At the time of writing, the minimum value of a token from the above collection is about 17.5 (~$25,000).

At the same time, the trading volume of Bored Ape Yacht Club, the most famous collection from Yuga Labs and perhaps the most popular one in existence today, has increased by almost 3.5 times over the past 24 hours. At the moment, the minimum value of tokens from this set is 78 Ethereum (~$111,000).

Bored Ape Kenne Club also showed good results, which are higher than what we could see in the case of Mutant Ape Yacht Club. Trading volume is up 46% in the last 24 hours and the minimum value of this collection is 9.1 Ethereum (~$13,000).

The growth in popularity, trading volume and minimum prices of all the above collections is explained by the announcement of Yuga Labs regarding the free receipt of NFT “Sewer Pass” coins. Such benefits are available only to holders of one of the Mutant Ape Yacht Club or Bored Ape Yacht Club tokens. The creators of the collection also announced that owners will be able to link new tokens with existing ones in order to receive a higher-level item.

The Sewer Pass will give owners the opportunity to play Dookey Dash, a new game from Yuga Labs. There, users will have to earn points with their Sewer Pass and get a "mysterious energy source". At the moment, it is not known exactly what this could mean, but Yuga Labs assured that the received tokens will be useful in the upcoming event called “Chapter 1”.

Dookey Dash will be available until February 15, and until that date, users will be able to freely play as much as they want to improve their results. This most likely means that Sewer Pass can be sold on the secondary market so that people who are left without the opportunity to purchase tokens from the MAYC and BAYC collections can also play Dookey Dash. Obviously, if Sewer Pass can be sold on the secondary market, the cost will be quite high.
