Game of Thrones NFT Collection Sold Out in 7 Hours

Formerly Warner Bros. announced that they would release an NFT collection based on the Game of Thrones universe. The word was kept and non-fungible tokens went online. Fans of the universe (and not only) quickly sold out all the tokens, completing their sale in 7 hours.

Game of Thrones cards can only be traded on Nifty for now. It is noteworthy that the artistic performance leaves much to be desired and the community of digital art enthusiasts makes fun of the work on Twitter and other social networks.

Although all the tokens were sold out in 7 hours, the minimum cost of tokens from the Game of Thrones collection fell by almost 2 compared to the cost of minting. If at the start it was possible to mint tokens for $150, then later the price of the cheapest tokens fell to $90.

There is an opinion among fans that the NFT collection turned out to be the same as the last season of the series, which was released by HBO. She, like the last 8 episodes of Game of Thrones, failed to live up to expectations. The characters' hands are claw-like, which doesn't make the collection any better.

For example, the creator of the Old Men Beards collection, known by the pseudonym Fonky Donk, drew attention to the fingers and called it “real art”, apparently in a sarcastic way. He also found another use for these hands.

In addition to the artistic and aesthetic component, other unpleasant surprises awaited buyers. For example. many complained that at the time of purchase they were charged the required amount twice or the funds were debited, but the token was not issued.

Representatives of the Nifty platform, where tokens are bought and sold, said that their customers should not worry, since all processed payments that did not bring non-fungible tokens will be processed in the future and the funds will be returned.

As mentioned earlier, the Game of Thrones NFT collection is currently only available on Nifty. Later, the set should also appear in another, more popular NFT token sales store, OpenSea.
