A long-awaited World Electronic Sports Games 2016 Grand Finals presented by Alipay starts on January, 12.
24 players from different parts of the world come to Changzhou, China to complete for the huge prizes and the title of WESG 2016 champion. Alisports and ImbaTV became the organizers of the event. Three best teams from each group will pass to the play-off series. Three teams with the worst results in the group will be withdrawn from the tournament. On January 14, the first 1/8 and quarterfinal matches will be played. The prize pool for the event is $1,500,000 and it will be distributed between 8 best teams of the event. They were held in the US, Europe, China, Mid East, Africa and Asia Pacific. 24 teams will participate in the event, and they are divided into 4 groups each having 6 players.
