Former Virtus.pro player joins Wisla Krakow
Wisla Krakow has announced the signing of former Virtus.pro and Illuminar Gaming player Tomas "phr" Wojczyk. The 24-year-old Polish player added to the squad after she broke her contract with ponczek due to poor results. Phr will now reunite with SZPERO and Markoś in the Wisla Krakow team.
In a statement, Team Coach Loord said phr will first act as co-captain and added that the long-term plan is for the rookie to take over entirely from SZPERO's hands.
phr himself hopes to lead Wisla Krakow to victory in the upcoming ESL Polish Championship and bring the team closer to the TOP 30 in the world rankings.
Previously, the 24-year-old Polish player played for such teams as AGO, Virtus.pro and Illuminar Gaming. During his career phr has several times made it to the top three at such major tournaments as V4 Future Sports Festival - Budapest 2019, World Electronic Sports Games 2018, ESL Pro European Championship 2018 and Play2Live Cryptomasters.
Wisla Krakow is currently ranked 58th in the world rankings by HLTV after a series of average results. Recall that the team recently entered the TOP-8 at Domination League Season 2, and also took 9-10th place in ESEA Premier Season 37.
From now on, the composition of Wisla Krakow is as follows:
