Akuma prevailed against Double Poney in ESEA Advanced Season 37 with a score of 3-2 and advanced to ESEA Season 38 Premier. Reddit users began a discussion, during which they unanimously agreed that the CIS team did not deserve a place in the list of tournament participants. ESL representatives said that they did not find any evidence that Akuma used unfair methods in sensational matches against top teams, and therefore I cannot disqualify sensei and his teammates.

Additional confidence can be caused by the fact that ESL regularly contacts ESIC, who are responsible for banning teams that are unfairly fighting their opponents. The latter also did not find any evidence that would show that Akuma resorted to dishonest methods of defeating star rivals.

After the victory of the players from the aforementioned roster in the battle with NAVI and Virtus.pro in the framework of the last EPIC CIS League Spring 2021, the teams began to be suspected of unfair struggle. No evidence was found, however, after the community became interested in the team and began to look for evidence of dishonest methods of achieving victory, Akuma began to play much worse and at the second RMR tournament held for the CIS, the team took the last place in Group A and could not earn no rating points.
