North is undergoing global changes
Christopher Håkonsson stepped down as CEO of the Danish organization. At the same time, the cybersport club announced the search for additional financial sources. The organization wants to find new investors. By the way, instead of Christopher Håkonsson, the CEO's place will now be taken by Alexander Pedersen, who previously served as the club's marketing director. It was thanks to Pedersen that North rebranded and changed their logo to a more aggressive one earlier this year, which could have allowed fans to easily associate the esports club with a Viking theme.
Comment from the new CEO of North, Alexander Pedersen:
“North is looking for the organization's next steps[for development]. We need an additional investor to help us implement our plans for the coming years. There are many opportunities in esports - we need a higher level of expertise to use them. "
The esports organization North was founded in 2017. The first CEO of the club was Christian Sorensen, who held his position from January 2017 to October 2019. The second, as we already know, the CEO was Christopher Håkonsson, and Alexander Pedersen became the third person to shoulder such a responsible position.
