The veil of secrecy is ajar: FunPlus Phoenix wants to acquire CS: GO roster from GODSENT
DeKay recently shared its insights with the community regarding a deal between GODSENT and an unnamed organization. We now know that a potential buyer is the Chinese esports club FunPlus Phoenix. For the latter, this attempt to acquire a CS: GO roster is not the first. The organization had previously wanted to acquire Heroic and the deal fell through at the very last stage when es3tag moved to Astralis. After that FunPlus Phoenix put together an American roster, which presented the flags of the Chinese club in the first season of FLASHPOINT and took 7-8 places in the standings there.
DeKay believes that FunPlus Phoenix wants to build their roster for the long term, and GODSENT is the best deal for them. Now the Swedish roster is ranked 19th in the list of the best CS: GO rosters according to HLTV. In the European regional rating, the team occupies the sixth line and claims to enter the Challenger series of the next Major tournament.
GODSENT roster:
- Asger 'Farlig' Jensen
- Martin 'STYKO' Stick
- Kevin 'kRYSTAL' Amend
- Esse 'zehN' Linyal
- Pavle 'maden' Boskovic
