What’s New in Season 2?

Season 2 introduces significant updates to the game’s map pool and weapons. Key changes include:

Map Pool Update:

  • Train will replace Vertigo in the active duty map pool, shaking up strategies and tactics for competitive matches.

Weapon Adjustments:

  • M4A4: Price reduced to $2900, matching its silenced counterpart, the M4A1-S, making it a more attractive option for players.
  • FAMAS: Buffed standing and crouching accuracy, along with a price reduction, making it a stronger pick for half-buy rounds.

These changes aim to diversify gameplay and introduce new dynamics to the competitive scene.

How to Earn the Season 2 Medal

Premier players will have the chance to earn a Premier Season Two Medal, featuring customizable colors and bars that represent peak rating and total wins. To earn this medal, players must:

  • Win 25 matches during Season 2.
  • Maintain an active rating by the end of the season.

Additionally, players will need to win 10 matches in Premier to refresh their rating for the new season. Season 2 will conclude after the BLAST Austin Major, which ends on June 22.

When Does Season 2 Start?

While Valve has yet to announce an official start date, Season 2 is expected to begin soon, given its shorter three-month duration compared to the extended first season. Competitive players can look forward to an action-packed season with fresh challenges and rewards.

With these updates, Counter-Strike 2 continues to evolve, keeping the competitive experience engaging for both veterans and newcomers. Stay tuned for the Season 2 start date and prepare to jump back into the action!
