NRG Welcomes Timothy "autimatic" Ta in a Bold Roster Revamp Aimed at Dominance
NRG has unveiled the acquisition of Timothy "autimatic" Ta, a 27-year-old to take over the vacancy created by Justin "FaNg" Coakley's exit.
This North American team initiated a significant reorganization of their lineup following their unsuccessful bid to secure a spot in the PGL Major Copenhagen, coupled with their underperformance in various online qualifiers leading up to a disappointing RMR attempt.
In a strategic move, Colby "Walco" Walsh was recruited to step into Damian "daps" Steele's shoes as the team's IGL, with daps transitioning into a head coach role, and FaNg parting ways with the squad.
Autimatic first came into the limelight with his stint at TSM in 2016, teaming up with notable players like Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken. During his time there, he helped the team reach the semi-finals of the ECS Season 1 Finals, marking their journey as a dark horse.
His impressive performances with TSM led him to join Cloud9, where he rose to prominence as a leading rifler in the North American region. Over three years, he clinched several international titles, including the prestigious ELEAGUE Major 2018.
Following a less fruitful 18-month period as an AWPer with Gen.G, autimatic ventured into the VALORANT scene, playing professionally for a year before making a comeback to CS with Evil Geniuses in 2022. His tenure at Evil Geniuses, which lasted two years, was marked by a lack of notable achievements and was riddled with internal issues.
The current roster for NRG now consists of:
- Josh "oSee" Ohm (United States)
- Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte (United States)
- Jadan "HexT" Postma (Canada)
- Timothy "autimatic" Ta (United States)
- Colby "Walco" Walsh (Canada)
With Damian "daps" Steele (Canada) serving as the coach.
