S1mple provided feedback on the sound indication of the radar in CS 2, expressing his criticism
NAVI's sniper, Alexander "s1mple" Kostylev, has shared his perspective on the radar in CS 2. The world champion did not appreciate the new sound-related feature.
In Counter-Strike 2, a change was introduced in the form of a sound radar. Now, after firing a shot or using a sniper scope, players are shown the radius within which opponents could have heard their sound activity.
"I don't like that you can see whether you are heard on the radar – it shouldn't be like that. I've already talked about this because now everything will be different. One of the advantages of CS was that players have different headsets, different volume levels, and different sounds. On stage, you can hear various sounds.
For example, when fans cheer during a penalty kick in football – you can miss, just like in CS. And now it's visible that the opponent hears you through that darn circle. It's trash."

The release date of CS 2 remains unknown. Insider harumi has suggested that the release might occur after the conclusion of ESL Pro League Season 18, but not before October 1st.
