Valve has officially announced the start of the second wave of invites for CS 2

Valve rolled out an update for CS 2 during the night of June 10th. The developers extended beta testing invitations to a second wave of players, although the exact number of users granted access remains unknown.

Mirage:

  • Eliminated the ability to shoot through the door towards Connector.
  • Blocked the gap in the boxes located at the center of the map (Top Mid).
  • Prevented pixel-gap exploits on the ticket box.
  • Introduced the ability to jump onto the fairbox at the A spot.
  • Rectified various player and grenade collision errors.
  • Removed the shot penetration through the door towards Connector.
  • Rectified various minor graphical glitches.

Weapons:

  • Resolved a bug causing the bomb to vanish upon a player's disconnection from the server.
  • Bonus weapons in Deathmatch mode now take the player's chosen equipment into consideration.
  • Added a "Replace for CT" context menu icon for USP-S when P2000 is selected, and vice versa.
  • Implemented automatic cancellation of dragging when exiting the equipment menu.
  • Enhanced the visual appearance of SCAR-20 and G3SG1.

Workshop Tools:

  • Corrected an error affecting certain assets that generated random files when launched from directories with spaces in their names.

In conjunction with this update, Valve also released a minor update for CS:GO. The weapon case drop system has been revised, enabling players to receive cases upon their initial rank promotion based on weekly experience, rather than after a specific duration of time or inactivity in the game.
