Ninjas in Pajamas coach explained Aleksib's invitation
djL, who is the head coach of Ninjas in Pajamas, explained Aleksib's recent addition to the team. According to the 28-year-old Swedish specialist, the team needed new energy to improve results. In addition, the coach did not forget to respond to criticism of the organization, which continued to abandon the all-Swedish line.
We have long felt that we need a new energy in the team. This was probably the main reason why we resorted to something new. Moreover, this decision was not made overnight. We've been discussing this for quite some time. We considered both the Swedish players and the international scene. I felt that the management came to a joint understanding about the absence of a player from Sweden who would suit us. That is why we decided to resort to an international squad, given the wider choice of players. Probably the availability of more options on the international stage was the main reason for the restructuring. And there are many teams that have gone the same way for the same reason.
During the conversation, djL also touched on the painful topic of being forced to switch to English. While Brollan was joining the Swedish team from fnatic, Ninjas in Pajamas deliberately made a change despite conflicts with their main star.
Of course, it was a common decision. Everyone participated in its adoption: the players, myself and others. And if someone felt not quite comfortable, then we would never go for it. As for Brollan, he was probably one of the first people I talked to when we had this idea.
For sure it will not be easy for someone, because many have spoken Swedish throughout their careers, but we all want to follow this path. Everyone was involved in making the decision. I understand that it looks strange from the outside, but the same Brollan really wanted to try these changes.
At the end of the conversation, the Ninjas in Pajamas coach added that he expects offensive results to improve as the role reversal will allow hampus to focus on individual form.
Our attack was a bit weak. And it didn't really depend on hampus. It's more about energy and how we communicate. Besides, I knew that hampus wanted to be relieved of the duties of an in-game leader. After talking with him, there was a feeling that it would be good to bring something new with new energy. Then we began to discuss this with Aleksib, and got what we needed. Now I know that hampus will shine in a role where he is a secondary coordinator or something like that, because he is an incredibly good shooter.
Recall that a few days ago, Ninjas in Pajamas announced the signing of Aleksib. This transfer entailed several changes: the transition to the English language of communication, the transfer of Plopski to the reserve, the change of roles.
