Astralis said goodbye to Magisk, dupreeh and zonic
Danish esports organization Astralis has officially parted ways with Magisk, dupreeh and zonic, whose contracts will come to an end at the end of this year. The trio are expected to join Vitality in the new season, which is also working on a massive lineup restructuring.
dupreeh and zonic became the founders of the original Astralis line-up, which was formed in early 2016. In turn, Magisk became the last cog in the champion gear, joining the team in February 2018. Later, the trio formed the Astralis era, during which the team became the winner of many championships, including ESL Pro League Season 7 - Finals, Esports Championship Series Season 5 - Finals, ELEAGUE CS: GO Premier 2018, FACEIT Major: London 2018, Intel Extreme Masters XIII - Katowice Major 2019, StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 and BLAST Pro Series: Global Final 2019.
However, weak results throughout 2020, as well as a bleak start to the new season, forced the organization to rebuild its roster. As a result, Astralis announced its upcoming parting with Magisk, dupreeh and zonic immediately after PGL Major Stockholm 2021, sending the trio to inactive. At this point, rumors surfaced that the Danes would be joining Vitality's roster, which is currently being rebuilt ahead of the start of next season. In turn, Astralis has already formed a roster, inviting blameF, k0nfig and ave to be a coach.
Astralis currently has the following roster:
- Xyp9x.
- gla1ve.
- Lucky.
- k0nfig.
- blameF.
- ave (trainer).
- Bubzkji (bench).
