Starry ends professional career
Starry announced his retirement from his professional Counter-Strike career. The main reason for this decision was the Chinese laws restricting the playing hours of minors. It is expected that after two years, that is, from the moment of majority, the player will return to the stage.
"Thank you all for your support. I have never received so many positive messages in my life as today. I am very glad that we managed to beat G2 on one map and that I was able to show what I am capable of. Due to some restrictions, today's match should be my last for the next 2 years. There is nothing I can do about it, " said the 16-year-old.
Starry began his professional career in 2020, playing for little-known local bands. However, in April 2021, the player moved to the Invictus Gaming camp, where he made a name for himself, hitting the TOP-4 within Funspark ULTI 2021: Asia Season 1 and Perfect World League Season 1.
However, in July, Starry left the team to join Lynn Vision a month later, with which the 16-year-old got to BLAST Premier: Fall Showdown 2021, facing Team G2. Note that it was Starry who made the ace in the second pistol round of the Vertigo map against the G2 team.
