Valve Launches Artifact 2.0 Closed Beta

The developers said on their blog that they issued the first portion of invites to the closed beta test of Artifact 2.0. Their owners were users who bought the first version of the game before March 30, 2020.

In addition, Valve said that the letters will have to reach the addressees by May 25. Other potential beta testers will begin to receive invitations after all applications from Artifact 1.0 owners are processed, and the issuing process itself will not have a special algorithm. All testers will be determined randomly.

In the future, Artifact 2.0 will enter the stage of open beta testing, but it is not yet known exactly when this will be implemented. The beta test will be limited in terms of functionality. For example, in the game during the test some cards will have trial illustrations, and tournaments and drafts will not be available at all.
