As a reminder, the initial plans for an international Wild Rift tournament were first announced in May 2021, when the publisher unveiled an update to the esports ecosystem for all of its disciplines at a media event.

Since the initial announcement, Wild Rift has launched a variety of competitions in a variety of regions including Oceania, Europe and Latin America. A total of 10 teams will compete in the Horizon Cup 2021, after qualifying for the regional competition.

Currently, the names of two participants in the upcoming championship are known - Da Kun Gaming and KT Rolster, who won the Spark Invitational 2021 and Wild Rift Champions Korea 2021, respectively.

The Wild Rift Origin Series 2021: Championship is expected to conclude later this month, and the championship itself will take place offline in Stockholm.
