The inaugural weekend of TwitchCon in Las Vegas concluded on Sunday, October 22, marking an extraordinary gathering of streamers from around the globe. Nearly 3.5K individual channels went live to cover the event, resulting in millions of hours of watch time each day. Notably, the viewership on Saturday alone surpassed the entire watch time of TwitchCon Paris 2023.
One of the most significant revelations to emerge from TwitchCon was the platform's decision to allow streamers to simulcast on multiple platforms, enabling them to broaden their audience and expand their brand. Additionally, the event featured various community highlights, including proposals, marriages, and more.
TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023 Viewership Statistics
Across the multitude of channels that provided live coverage of TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023, the event accumulated a total of 5.91 million hours watched. By comparison, TwitchCon Paris earlier in the year featured 1.2K channels and garnered 2 million hours watched.
English-language broadcasts constituted a substantial 81% of the event's viewership. Although German-language broadcasts were the second most popular on the first day, Portuguese-language streams gained popularity as the event progressed, accounting for 7.1% of the total watch time.
As expected, given the event's location in the United States, English-language broadcasts were predominant. Among the top 5 nationalities of streamers, English-speaking countries were highly represented, with the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Australia leading the way.
Analyzing channels by their average viewers, the majority fell within the 0-50 average viewers bracket. Towards the end of the event, only 38 channels boasted more than 5,001 average viewers. Let's delve into the most popular channels among these top 38.
Top Channels of TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023
EsfandTV emerged as the most-watched creator of the entire event, amassing 358.7K hours watched. While not the most popular creator at the event, EsfandTV achieved the highest watch time by streaming both during the day and night.
JenFoxxx secured the second spot, with over 300K hours watched, primarily driven by her 7.5-hour broadcast on the first day of the event. As the event progressed, her broadcasts became shorter, impacting her overall watch time.
The official Twitch broadcasting channel occupied the middle position among the top 5, delivering daily coverage of events, discussions, and official announcements from Twitch. Notably, community-hosted game shows were a highlight on the official channel.
In fourth place was Knut, who gained significant viewership by live-streaming his marriage proposal, reaching 172K hours watched and 41.8K peak viewers. Knut's success was further amplified by raids from community members.
Nmplol rounded out the top 5 most-watched creators, hosting road trip broadcasts and a special racing stream on his way to TwitchCon. These unique broadcasts garnered more attention than his actual TwitchCon coverage, although he still enjoyed a significant viewership.
Mizkif and AustinShow were the most popular creators of the event, thanks to their game shows hosted live at TwitchCon. These events were also streamed on the official Twitch channel and drew a substantial audience.
Additionally, the popular Mexican streamer Quackity garnered significant viewership with a brief hour-long broadcast on his secondary channel, QuackityToo.
TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023 Dynamics

TwitchCon Las Vegas 2023 stood out as one of the year's premier live-streaming events for Twitch, offering channels the opportunity to collaborate, grow, and network within a concentrated space. While household-name streamers dominated viewership and top channels, many attending streamers experienced a significant upswing in viewership during the event.

AustinShow himself enjoyed substantial viewership for the gameshow, peaking at 48.7K viewers on his personal channel, securing him the second position in terms of peak viewers for the day.
This special TwitchCon edition of the game show featured an ensemble cast of well-known streamers, including HasanAbi, Jerma985, pokimane, and GeorgeNotFound. A noteworthy boost in AustinShow's viewership came when EsfandTV raided the channel, bringing in 16.5K viewers. However, despite its popularity, this event was not the most-watched show of the day.
"Schooled" by OTK, a quiz-style gameshow hosted by Mizkif, aimed to test streamers on their knowledge in a school-themed setting. Notably, Twitch's official channel also achieved its peak viewership of 33.5K during its broadcast of the game show.
The remaining ranks were occupied by familiar faces such as Nmplol, JenFoxxx, and JonVlogs, all of whom have featured in our previous TwitchCon coverage. Nmplol leveraged the presence of other community members on his channel, consolidating the viewership of various communities.
The final streamer on the list was HoneyPuu, a German IRL streamer. German content creators have garnered significant viewership at TwitchCon, constituting 7% of Saturday's total watch time. HoneyPuu benefited from featuring other German creators on her channel, with her exploration of Las Vegas proving highly popular with her audience.
