Hey everyone!

Today was the first day of FANCON 2025 in Kyiv, and I was right there to witness it all. The event continues tomorrow, but I only had the chance to attend for one day — and it was quite the experience.

Let’s start with the downsides.The organization left a lot to be desired. I had to stand in line for about 40 minutes under the scorching sun, and it was nearly 30°C outside. Inside, there were very few places to sit — no bean bags or resting zones where you could just chill out for a bit. That part? Not great.

But let’s talk about the good stuff — and there's plenty of it.The cosplays were absolutely awesome! And not just from the contestants in the official cosplay competition — even regular visitors brought their A-game. 

I’m pretty sure the cosplay crown will go to this one girl whose Lilith from Diablo IV looked absolutely insane — easily one of the best I’ve ever seen.

There were also game booths, board games, and even our old favorites from Blood Bowl made an appearance!

What’s truly amazing is that events like this are still happening in Ukraine despite the war. It’s inspiring and heartwarming to see the community come together like this.
