Call of Duty: Vanguard will be officially announced in August
Publisher Activision plans to present to the public a new part of the Call of Duty series on August 19. It is already known that the game will be called Vanguard and will take place in the setting of the Second World War. This was reported by the portal DualShockers with reference to several sources.
Initially, the date of the presentation of the new Call of Duty was announced by a Twitter user under the nickname NEXTGEN_ishere; however, after a few hours, his entry was deleted. After that, journalist Tom Henderson received confirmation from four sources that the event would indeed take place on August 19.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is expected to include all three game modes, namely campaign, multiplayer and zombie mode. The game will be set in the European and Pacific theaters of World War II, according to the VGC portal.
It's unclear exactly how Vanguard will differ from its similarly-released Call of Duty: WW2 in 2017, but it's clear that Sledgehammer Games will have to do something special to compete with other shooters. Note that Call of Duty: Vanguard is scheduled to release in Q4 2021.
