NVIDIA hosted a live broadcast of CES 2021, during which it unveiled the new GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card with a suggested price of $ 329 for personal computers. NVIDIA also unveiled the RTX 30 line of graphics cards for gaming laptops.

The RTX 3060 will feature 12GB of GDDR6 VRAM - 4GB more than the RTX 3060 Ti, but is inferior in CUDA cores (3584 cores versus 4864 cores for the RTX 3060 Ti). RT cores are also smaller (28 versus 38), and the number of tensor cores has dropped by almost a third (112 versus 152). The computing power of the device will be 13 teraflops. The release of the budget video card will take place at the end of February 2021. The graphics card will only be available in versions from partners, while the Founders Edition is not provided.

Also at CES 2021, the company presented GeForce RTX 30 series video cards with a reduced thermal package and power consumption for installation in gaming laptops. In the first wave of laptop accelerators, there will be three models: GeForce RTX 3060, RTX 3070 and RTX 3080. All of them are equipped with second-generation RT cores, third-generation tensor cores and support the full range of desktop graphics cards, such as DLSS 2.1, hardware ray tracing, NVIDIA Reflex to reduce latency, and RTX IO when available in future games.

RTX 3060 laptops will be more powerful than current RTX 2080 laptops, and US prices start at $ 999. Models on the RTX 3070 start at $ 1299, and on the RTX 3080 from $ 1999.
