Crysis has always been famous for its sky-high demands on gaming hardware, Remastered is no exception. However, not all players will be able to afford an expensive PC build. The developers from Crytek understand this, and therefore have released a patch that will improve the performance of the game.

Basically, we are talking about improvements on powerful PCs. However, Crytek tried a similar move for optimal graphics settings that should work for different PCs.

Major improvements

  • Improved performance of AMD based PCs with very high retrace settings;
  • Improved retrace at very high settings
  • Improved water appearance for RTX processors.

In addition, the patch also affected a number of the most common errors. Crytek fixed missing lighting at high shadow settings, fixed fps "cutting" when playing in windowed mode, removed a bug where frames per second dropped when crawling near the bodies of dead enemies, and finally removed artifacts that appeared during cutscenes.

As a reminder, Crysis Remastered is higher on September 18th. At release, the game received mixed reviews due to the abundance of bugs and in some places excessively high requirements.
