Rumor: Netflix is preparing a TV series based on The Elder Scrolls
Bethesda Softworks' franchise - The Elder Scrolls - could lay claim to being the largest RPG franchise in the world. Despite the last part of Skyrim, released back in 2011, the series has remained very popular over the past nine years. This is in part because the aforementioned game has been ported to pretty much all platforms, but spin-offs like The Elder Scrolls Online and The Elder Scrolls: Blades have also helped keep the franchise in the spotlight.
Despite the fact that The Elder Scrolls VI is currently in development, insider Daniel Richtman revealed that Netflix and Bethesda are working on a TV adaptation of The Elder Scrolls, and the scale of the project will be comparable to the film adaptation of "The Witcher" starring Henry Cavill....
Interestingly, Bethesda Softworks is already developing a major TV adaptation of one of its games with its main competitor Netflix. Previously, the publisher announced that the Westworld team is working on Fallout, which will appear on Amazon Prime someday in the future.
