Although Destiny 2 has yet to receive a special patch for next-gen consoles, the game is already ready to experience the delights of the next gen. True, this can only be done in multiplayer and for backward compatibility.

The head of Bungie Pete Parsons decided to please the fans of the competition with each other. Parsons announced that the Crucible PvP mode will support 120 frames per second. And this applies to both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. The younger version of the Microsoft console does not support 120 FPS.

The rest will remain unchanged. The game will continue to run in 4K @ 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and PS5, and 1080p @ 60 FPS on Xbox Series S. It's also worth recalling that the full Destiny 2 nextgen patch will launch on October 8th.
