PlayStation 5 will not be backward compatible with PS1, PS2 and PS3

According to Jim, the technologists at Sony became their initial task to make the PS5's technical features as good as possible. In particular, they wanted to make a super fast SSD and convenient DualSense. Their SSD is so powerful that the company cites this improvement as one of the main advantages of the console.

Despite their desire to make good technical improvements, the management did not forget about the PS4 audience, which exceeds 100,000,000 people, and therefore considered it beneficial to make backward compatibility with this console.

Sony previously talked about successful backward compatibility tests with PS4 games. 99% of them run smoothly on PlayStation 5 and work well. Some of them will even be included in the PS Plus library.
