SAND: New Gameplay Trailer Reveals Epic Trampler Customization and Beta Delay
The Ukrainian PvPvE shooter SAND, which follows the adventures of Galicians on a desert colony within the Space Austro-Hungarian Empire, was initially scheduled to enter closed beta testing at the end of this summer. However, the developers have announced that in their quest to deliver the best possible first impression for players, the content in the beta build has significantly expanded. Consequently, the testing has been postponed from summer to early Q4 (which essentially means "it's almost certainly September, but be prepared for potential delays").
In the meantime, the developers have released a new gameplay trailer showcasing "tramplers"—massive walking machines that serve treasure hunters on the desert planet Sophia as ship-like vehicles. The trailer highlights the customization options, including various compartments, decks, and weapons. SAND features a detailed trampler editor, which is crucial to the game. A trampler isn't just a means of transportation; it's also a storage space for your loot and a weapon in battles against other adventurers. Therefore, the rewards from completed contracts and trophies from other tramplers should be invested wisely in upgrading your own.
