According to reports, the game Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion will be remastered in an updated version
It has been announced that the studio co-developing the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is also working on a remake of the game The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion.
On the Reddit forum, an assertion appeared from a user who is purportedly a former Virtuos employee. Later, this statement was removed from the GamingLeaksAndRumors page (as reported by Xfire).
According to the message, the said user was verified by the forum's moderators as a legitimate former Virtuos employee. If this verification is accurate, it could lend more credibility to their statements.
According to the user's claims, Virtuos is working on five separate projects, with the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake being just one of them.
The user also claims that the studio is working on a project called 'Altar', which is purportedly either a remake or remaster of the game Oblivion. This project uses a "hybrid system," allowing the game to run on both Unreal Engine 5 and the Oblivion engine.
As stated by the user, "For instance, new graphics are rendered in the Unreal Engine 5 project, but most of the gameplay, physics, and other elements remain in the Oblivion engine."
Please note that the claims made by the Reddit user should be taken as rumors until officially confirmed by Virtuos or the relevant parties involved.
