Valve is working on a new Steam mobile app
Last year, data miner Pavel Djundik tweeted that Valve was working on a new version of the mobile app for its digital distribution store Steam. As one of the innovations, authorization by a QR code was called.
A QR code is needed to log in to the app from trusted devices. The imminent update was indicated by the creation of a group called “Steam Mobile App”.
And today everyone had the opportunity to take part in beta testing of the new application. You can download it on the corresponding page in the group. In addition to the store, Steam Guard, and exchange confirmation, the developers added QR code authorization, smart notifications, and redesigned the appearance of the library. Of the new features, it is worth noting support for the use of multiple accounts.
At the moment, Valve is actively collecting feedback on the experience of using the new Steam Mobile, and is also asked to report any bugs and shortcomings identified.
