EA FC Title Update Aims to Tackle Peculiar 'Calf Dribble' Glitch
EA has rolled out a title update for EA FC aimed at resolving a peculiar issue where players would seemingly pick up the ball with their hands and dash into the net.
This issue, known as the "Calf Dribble" glitch, originally allowed players to employ a skill move that effectively glued the ball to their player's calf, making it impossible for the opposing team to retrieve it. Subsequently, players discovered a way to make the ball adhere to their player's hands.
EA has acknowledged this problem on its known issues Trello and provided the following statement:"To prevent this issue from occurring, we have temporarily removed the Trickster+ PlayStyle from Ultimate Team Player Items; they now have Trickster instead. Once this issue has been addressed in a future Title Update, we'll be looking to add Trickster+ back to applicable Player Items."
At present, it appears that the glitch may still exist in the game, but EA has disabled the mechanics required to trigger it. PlayStyles are distinct attributes that some players possess to mimic their real-life counterparts.
In this instance, Trickster+ was assigned to players known for their flair and showboating skills on the field, including Neymar and Ronaldinho.
Unfortunately, EA has not clarified whether it will offer compensation to players affected by the glitch during this weekend's FUT Champions competition, the most competitive mode in the football simulator.
