Markus Cosquivirta becomes Head of Tournament Operations at Elisa Esports
Finnish tournament operator Elisa Esports has announced the appointment of Markus Koskivirtu as their new head of tournament operations. Having worked in the esports scene for over 12 years, he will bring his experience to the development of esports competitions run by the Elisa Esports team.

Starting his career as a referee in 2009, Markus Koskivirta has successfully held various positions as a senior referee and officiated competitions held under the auspices of the International Esports Federation. In addition, in 2017, the Finn was appointed chairman of the IESF Referee Commission.
For the past five years, Kosquivirta has worked internationally as a tournament organizer, hosting international competitions in various esports disciplines.

In his role, Kosquivirta will reportedly oversee the fairness of the championships held, as well as be responsible for the quality of the competitions organized.
