Gamers curfew imposed in China
"Play no more than an hour and a half a day" - this is now not the recommendation of doctors, but a government decree. Such a rule will apply only to minors who like to play computer games on weekdays. During the weekend, teens will be able to play up to three hours a day. It is not yet known how the online watch control system will be implemented, but there is an assumption that the control will come from developers and publishers.
The authorities want to ensure that all users register in online games only under their real names, indicating the real passport data and phone number. This will allow you to track young players and block their access to online games at night.
The time limit is not the only change in the rules. Children under the age of 8 will no longer have access to microtransactions, and adolescents who have not yet turned 16 will not be able to make purchases more than $ 29 per month. People between 16 and 17 years old will be allowed to spend $ 57 per month.
Chinese authorities have also announced that they will engage in a review of the age rating system. So they, at their own request, will deal with the negative consequences of enthusiasm for computer games.
