Hackers hacked the Twitter account of the NFT project Azuki
The Azuki NFT project management reported that hackers managed to gain access to their Twitter account. Therefore, users should ignore their offers to purchase virtual land.
The post looks like this:
The head of the community and the product manager of Azuki announced the investigation that had begun regarding the receipt of unauthorized access to their Twitter account, and once again warned all users against clicking on the links:
The ongoing investigation has already established some interesting details. Online sleuths were able to identify two wallets that are highly likely to be associated with scam messages. One of them holds more than 468 Ethereum , which at the current rate ($1,573) is just over $735,000.
This is not the first situation in recent days when hackers gain access to the Twitter account of a well-known project and try to extort money from their victims. Two days earlier, the Robinhood cryptocurrency marketplace suffered from hackers who gained unauthorized access to their Twitter and tried to sell tokens.
The most interesting thing in this situation is that Robinhood, in principle, do not have cryptocurrency tokens. The only assets that can be purchased associated with the platform are securities on the NASDAQ financial market. You can read more about this situation here .
The attackers decided to step up after the Azuki metaverse with the name Hilumia. As planned, this virtual space will be a gradually developing virtual city where users will be able to communicate with each other and spend time. The developers want to combine both digital and physical elements in Hilumia.
