The qualifiers to IEM Sydney were announced
ESL has announced an information about the upcoming qualifiers to IEM Sydney.
The qualifying rounds will be hosted in two divisions: in Europe and America. One invitation to the championship with $250,000 of the prize pool will be up for grabs in each of them.
The qualifying rounds will be held in the same way in both regions. They will start with the open qualification, in which the unlimited number of teams can take part, after that the winners of each qualification will advance to the closed qualifying round and join six invited teams to fight their way to the LAN final.

The closed qualification will be hosted in a single elimination bracket and all matches will be played in a bo3 format.
The open qualifying rounds will take place in both regions on March 27-28. The closed qualification will be run on April 29-30. The final stage of Intel Extreme Masters Sydney will be hosted on May 1-6.
