Great Amnesty - ESIC unbanned participants in fake matches in Australia
Integrity Commission eSports ESIC reported that their bans do not apply to a member of the Australian division. All players can play official international matches again. The announcement of the amnesty took place on the Twitter account of ESIC representative Ian Smith.
Smith was silent about the reasons why ESIC decided to remove the bans, but promised to disclose them after the completion of the distribution of player notifications. He noted that there were no mistakes when issuing punishment, and his personal initiative in lifting the bans was completely absent.
In October last year, ESIC purged the Australian region of unscrupulous players who took part in fake matches. A few months later, the commission banned another 35 cybersportsmen, and at the end of March it was reported that the FBI was joining the investigation of cases of fake matches.
