MiBR will give back all the funds won on cs_summit 6
Ricardo 'dead' Sinigaglia was caught using a bug that allowed him to unfairly gain an advantage over his opponent by viewing the terrain by the coach. Beyond the Summit issued a special press release, in which it announced that they had disqualified the tournament participant, reset the earned prize points to the Brazilians and asked them to return the money won.
In the standings of cs_summit 6, the team stopped at 7-8 lines. The place of MiBR after disqualification was taken by another team from the region, Triumph. $ 2,500 was transferred to them, and dead, who received a forfeit defeat, will miss the next two championships from Beyond the Summit.
ESL and DreamHack conducted their own investigation, during which it turned out that several trainers were suspected of using a bug to view the territory in certain places. This vulnerability gave an advantage to the teams that exploited it. On the night of September 1, ESL and DreamHack shared their results. Organizations said the culprits were zoneR from Hard Legion Esports, HUNDEN from Heroic, and dead from MiBR. The above mentors were banned from participating in tournaments from ESL and DreamHack for a period of six months to two years, and the organizations terminated their contracts.
Recently it became known that dead is not the only Brazilian trainer who decided to use the exploit. The Polish judge of ECS Season 7 said that gueirra from FURIA Esports also abused the already fixed bug, and in the match against Complexity he used it throughout all 25 played rounds on the first map. It is noteworthy that this did not help the Brazilians win that map, but they subsequently triumphed in the series with a score of 2-1.
