The International 2015 Champion SumaiL Permanently Banned in Counter-Strike 2
Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan, the champion of The International 2015, has revealed that he received a permanent ban in Counter-Strike 2. He shared the news on social media platform X.
The exact reasons for the ban remain unclear. SumaiL mentioned that he hadn't launched the game in some time and received the ban shortly after the recent Snap Tap ban update. However, he speculates that the ban may not be related to this update. SumaiL has reached out to Valve for assistance, but it is not known whether the developers have responded to his request.
Earlier this year, a similar incident occurred with Arsenal football player Gabriel Jesus, who was banned by VAC. He also reached out to Valve, and his ban was eventually lifted. This incident sparked some controversy, with fans speculating about possible preferential treatment. However, others pointed out that multiple false VAC bans were reportedly lifted during the same period, making it unclear if any special treatment was involved.
