The prices of knives and other skins sharply dropped after the release of CS 2
After the release of CS 2, players noticed a sharp decrease in the prices of skins, with some items dropping by 20% or even more. This trend is evident both on the official Steam marketplace and on third-party platforms.
According to information from Pricempire, over the past 24 hours, the prices of many popular skins have significantly decreased. Among them, notable examples include the \"AWP | Asiimov\" (-6.4%), \"AK-47 | Vulcan\" (-7.5%), \"M4A1-S | Hyper Beast\" (-11.3%), and various other items. This price drop has affected both expensive and more affordable items.
One trader, known as Maroko, speculated that the price decline might be attributed to players' heightened expectations before the release of CS 2.
The beginning of price reduction is disappointing news. The hype has faded, and the number of players is likely to be much lower than initially expected. Many skins appear to be overvalued. It seems that the CS 2 market will, in all likelihood, move in only one direction – downwards.
