diSTURBED steps down as HAVU coach
The Finnish esports organization HAVU has announced the resignation of diSTURBED as head coach of the CS:GO roster. However, the 29-year-old Finnish specialist does not intend to leave the club, continuing to work as a partner for the further development of the project.
As of May 31st, I am retiring as the head coach of HAVU. The decision has been brewing for a while as I was not able to achieve the results that I or HAVU wanted. The last few months have been very difficult for me as I couldn't fix the mistakes we made as a team or individually. This team needs a fresh start after a really tough first half of the year and I think a new approach to the game is also needed. I hope this move will unlock the potential of this team and get them back to work.
Although I am retiring as a coach, I am not going to leave HAVU completely, as I will remain one of the partners and work behind the scenes. I'm not 100% sure what will happen next, but I intend to stay in esports, where my ambitions are still great.
I would like to thank everyone I have worked with as a coach and especially every fan who has followed our journey over the years.
diSTURBED took over HAVU in October 2019. In two and a half seasons, the 29-year-old Finnish specialist helped the team win Telia Esports Series Season 2, Funspark ULTI 2020 - Europe, Elisa Finnish Championship 2020 and Funspark ULTI 2021: Europe Season 1, as well as get into the top three at Flashpoint Season 1 and Pinnacle Cup I.
However, the Finnish team did not have a good start in the new season, since HAVU was not able to qualify for the RMR tournament and other TIER-1 championships.
From now on, the composition of HAVU is as follows:
- sLowi.
- xseveN.
- Aerial.
- ottoNd.
- Sm1lee.
