Weapon Balancing

Adjustments have been made to the AUG and Dragunov.

AUG

• Horizontal Recoil Increase: +4%
• Vertical Recoil Increase: +9.8%
• Recoil reduction while crouching: -16% → -13%

Dragunov

• Speed increase: 150 → 180
• Recoil Recovery (Aim Stability After Fire): +11%

Developer Comment

In a previous update (Update 25.2), we aimed to create a more balanced environment for assault rifles by tweaking the AUG's rate of fire. After analyzing post-update win rate data, we observed a slight decrease in the AUG's win rate, going from 53.3% to 53.0%, which was consistent with pre-RPM adjustment numbers. However, considering the AUG's continued dominance among assault rifles (except for care package weapons like FAMAS and Groza), and its stats surpassing those of the Beryl M762, we decided further adjustments were needed.

With this update, we increased the recoil to reduce combat stability while preserving the AUG's distinctiveness. We also adjusted the recoil reduction while crouching to prevent any unfair advantages in specific scenarios.

The Dragunov, on the other hand, lagged behind other designated marksman rifles in terms of kill distribution and win rates. To enhance its usability, we addressed player concerns by increasing the Dragunov's rate of fire and improving its recoil recovery, making it a more consistent and versatile weapon.

Play Style

To enhance strategic planning, we've added the launch aircraft flight path, maintained throughout the game, to both the world map and minimap.

You can toggle the flight route on or off on the map screen. A quick guide for this feature is available on the same screen. This update applies to all game modes.

World

PUBG Global Championship 2023-themed decorations have been added to the maps. KFC restaurants have been removed from Erangel to make way for the return of gas stations. Please note that the fuel pump function is not available on Erangel.

Arcade

New Team Deathmatch map: Pillar Compound.

This hidden pillar compound near Deston offers unique and diverse gunplay dynamics. The floor plan mainly consists of a main building and outbuildings. Several elevated areas, including most rooftops, are inaccessible. Promoters are available. Map selection probabilities have been adjusted in line with this update.

Improvements to Bluebomb Rush mode have been made based on player feedback and performance metrics. Markers/waypoints can now be used on the map. The defending team's starting position has been readjusted based on the analysis showing that they were advancing too quickly into the central area. Radio messaging options have been updated, adding a grateful and apologetic message option while removing the Save Coins and Top Up options.

Changes to weapon attachments purchased in the shop are now saved and will be reflected in subsequent purchases. Attachments added to empty slots are not saved. Only attachments available in the Attachment Box can be saved. For guns equipped with magnifying scopes, the magnified scope will remain the same on subsequent purchases, even if switching to a scope without magnification. The selection and prices of weapons in the shop have been updated: the SLR was replaced by the Dragunov, and the price of the M249 has been adjusted.

A new in-game message, "Impressive," now appears when you achieve victory in one-on-many scenarios. Death symbols are more translucent. When a player dies, the primary weapon they used is placed in their death chest. If no primary weapon is available, the secondary weapon will be dropped. The duration of the Death Chests has been significantly increased. Lap wait time has been reduced from 30 seconds to 20 seconds. Footstep noises have been slightly increased. An absence penalty has been added to discourage unwarranted leaving during a game. Arcade Points will be lost, and players will be unable to participate in the game for a certain period.

(Steam/Epic Games) Ranking

The leaderboard verification process has been improved. Starting with Update 26.2, any account exhibiting suspicious behavior or irregular gaming patterns will be subject to an additional review process.

In addition to SMS verification, you may be asked to complete additional automated telephone call verification (ARS). Previously verified accounts may be asked to re-verify, and completing this step is mandatory to play Ranked Matches. If you've updated the mobile phone number associated with your account, please contact us via PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Support. Related pop-up texts have been changed to reflect this update.

Custom Match

Pillar Compound has been added to Team Deathmatch preferences.

Lobby

The event page has been refined, with the page title renamed to Event Center. New missions related to Survival Mastery levels have been added, and the display method for event rewards has been standardized.

Skin

The character's hair now remains visible after putting on a hoodie. Part of this update has been integrated into the previous update #26.1.

Performance

Character animation optimization has been improved to increase CPU performance in situations where multiple characters are grouped together.

• Fixed an issue that allowed melee weapons to penetrate walls when thrown from the corner of a building.
• Fixed an issue in Training Mode where the Dragunov displayed inaccurate damage indicators when hitting targets.
• Fixed significant removal of Phase 1 flight path and safe zone in normal and custom games.
• Fixed the issue that caused O12 ammo to disappear when flying beyond a certain distance.
• Fixed the issue that prevented the O12 from dealing damage after zeroing the settings with a 6x scope.

World

• Fixed collision, texture, performance, and some other general issues with Erangel, Miramar, and Taego.
• (PC) Fixed unclear visibility of character outlines on Miramar during playback/observer view.

UX/UI

• Fixed the issue where the notification icon on the Match History page would not disappear.
• Fixed incorrect spelling of text in the Arcade Lobby.
• (PC) Fixed the issue where your weapon hits were not displayed in gameplay.
• (PC) Fixed an issue where the icons would turn completely white when a team was eliminated in Esports mode.
• (Console) Updated the clan and social page exit button label from "Back" to "Close."
