Eve Online players break four new Guinness World Records
In the online space game Eve Online, the most global war between factions, called World War Bee 2, has come to an end. The participants in this conflict were two in-game coalitions. In one corner of the ring were the Legacy Coalition/PanFam (PAPI), and in the other - the Imperium clan.
The feud came to an end and thanks to it the players set four new Guinness World Records:
- The largest multiplayer PvP battle in video games (8,825 players participated in the battle)
- The largest number of PvP combatants fighting each other at the same time (6,557 players fought at the same time in the largest battle)
- The battle with the largest cost (in the course of one battle, players lost ships equivalent to $ 378,000)
- The number of lost titans in one battle Eve Online (257 pieces)
According to the official version, the war between the clans Legacy Coalition/PanFam (PAPI) and The Imperium started on July 5 last year. Then the PAPI decided to invade The Imperium immediately after the end of the non-aggression pact against each other. Throughout the year, players suffered heavy losses in battles and spent billions of in-game currency in order to improve their chances of fighting. According to general information, players spent about 1,200,000 spaceships on the war, as well as various capsules and pieces of equipment. According to calculations, all users spent more than $ 3,000,000 in monetary terms during the year of the war.
Eve Online was released in 2003. It was developed by the CCP Games studio, and the title is a massive multiplayer space simulator in which players act as pilots and engage in various activities, ranging from flying between various star clusters and buying ships with their subsequent improvement and ending with groupings and corporations with further consequences of political relationships.
