Take-Two patented a very curious technology
Recently netizens dug up all the curious patent from Take-Two. It turns out that parent company Rockstar Games has patented a virtual navigation system for games.
Such a system will allow for a more realistic behavior of NPCs driving cars. With its help, the traffic in the game will be regulated by weather conditions, type and characteristics of the car. Also, NPCs will be active outside the player's field of vision.
The network is already speculating that the system is intended for GTA VI. On Reddit, they dug up that the authors of the system are the deputy director of technology at Rockstar Games David Hind and the lead programmer Simon Parr. However, no even indirect hints of the development of GTA VI from Rockstar have yet been reported.
