Minecraft Earth servers will be shut down this summer
It looks like Mojang's augmented reality experiment hasn't been successful. The developers of the iconic sandbox Minecraft decided to close the Minecraft Earth servers.
They will do this at the end of June this year, but for now the company has given short comments on this decision. The reason for the closure of the servers is trivial - the pandemic is to blame. Initially, Minecraft Earth was created for a cooperative game with constant movement, but in modern realities this no longer seems commonplace.
All servers will close on June 30th. On the same day, the game will disappear from digital stores. The freed up resources of Mojang will be redirected to other, more promising projects.
Minecraft Earth is an iteration of the beloved sandbox in augmented reality. In the game, you can create unique objects using the built-in constructor and adding its elements to real objects and surfaces.
