In the European division of the qualifiers, Natus Vincere and Heroic managed to pass the last challenge. In the American region, only one slot was available, and Immortals took it. Also, in the European division, Swedish team Fnatic managed to pass the qualifiers. Natus Vincere won two matches of the upper bracket and passed to the final stage of IEM Katowice 2017. Na’Vi defeated two Danish teams with the same 2:0 score. These teams are tRICKED eSport and Heroic. They played matches on de_nuke and de_mirage maps. Swedish players, in their turn, managed to pass the qualifiers after the winning in matches against mousesports and G2 Esports. In the closed European qualifiers to IEM Katowice 2017, 11 teams participated and 5 of them received direct invites to the qualifiers. These teams were as following: Team EnVyUs, G2 Esports, mousesports, Fnatic and Natus Vincere. All other teams had to pass the open qualifiers. The European qualifier took place on February 4-5. In American qualifier, 4 teams participated, and 2 of them received direct invite to the qualifier, and two more teams were selected during the open qualifiers. The open qualifiers took place on February 4-6. Immortals did not lose a match and received the only slot booked for American team in IEM Katowice 2017. Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2017 will take place on March 1-5. Spodek Arena will host the event, and its prize pool is $250,000. List of participants IEM Katowice 2017
